The roots of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., founded in 1906, are firmly grounded in service. The founders of the first collegiate Black Greek fraternity laid the foundation for lasting global community service initiatives.
To further the aims of our organization, Gamma Lambda Detroit and Theta Zeta Lambda Ann Arbor (501c3, Tax ID 81-1257797) Alumni Chapters along with the Gamma Lambda Education Foundation (501c3, Tax ID 38-1549833) and the Theta Zeta Lambda Scholarship Fund (501c3, Tax ID 38-2671230) will host their Black & Old Gold Scholarship Invitational Golf Outing and Dinner on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. This event will be held at the beautiful Farmington Hills Golf Club, located at 37777 Eleven Mile Court in Farmington Hills, MI.
We ask for your support as a sponsor, patron, or golfer. Your contribution will greatly help the success of this event and will support a number of local worthy causes. This golf outing is also an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your company and network with others. Our collective commitment to Wayne and Washtenaw Counties has awarded over $450,000 in scholarships to more than 400 area students.
This year, we will once again have the Farmington Hills Golf Professional offering golf lessons to approximately 30 sponsored youths. The lessons includes instructions on several course techniques and some valuable discussion about how golf can be a vital skill for their future endeavors.
