The Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. - Theta Zeta Lambda Chapter (501c3, Tax ID 81-1257797) will host our 2022 Golf Tournament on Saturday, July 9, 2022, 8:00am at Lake Forest Golf Club, located at 3100 W. Ellsworth Rd in Ann Arbor, MI 48103. The tournament will be a scramble format to support our three initiatives below. We are hoping to have your participation to make this event a success.
Theta Zeta Lambda Scholarship Fund
Annually Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. - Theta Zeta Lambda Chapter (Ann Arbor) and the Theta Zeta Lambda Scholarship Fund provide financial assistance to high-school seniors who have demonstrated improvement in their academic, social and life skills. This assistance is in the form of a one-time scholarship award given to a minimum of fourteen (14) students in the amount of $1,000.
March of Dimes
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation began collaboratively implementing Project Alpha in 1980. This collaborative project is designed to provide education, motivation, and skill-building on issues of responsibility, relationships, teen pregnancy, and sexually transmitted diseases for young males ages 12-15 years. Our yearly goal is to donate $3,000 or more.
Brother Dr. Thomas A. Bass Caring and Sharing Food Basket Delivery Program
This program is named in remembrance of one of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. - Theta Zeta Lambda Charter Members. Brother Dr. Thomas A. Bass Caring and Sharing Food Basket Delivery Program provides baskets to the less fortunate as well as some of the widows of Brothers who have passed on into Omega Chapter. The chapter delivers a total of 75 baskets to families at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas in Washtenaw County and surrounding community.
